Discount Auto Performance Parts – Raw Performance Parts!

January 28th, 2011

I just briefly want to share some information on discount auto performance parts and a good place i get them. Raw power performance parts are Parts such as nex nitrous oxide, injen exhausts and streetglow neon underbody kits and there are loads more.

Just click any of the ads in the link below if you want to buy of the site. There is also a review of the website found below if you are interested.

Discount auto performance parts can be hard to find online especially ones such as streetglow products, injen exhausts and zex nitrous oxide etc. Not only that but people want the best deal they can get on performance parts such as exhausts, headers, intakes, neon gas, strobe lights, nitrous oxide etc. After searching around for a while for performance parts I found a site and decided to give it a go. neon is the brightest when it comes to lighting up your car and can be put pretty much anywhere. neon is an inert non-reactive gas with no color. However, when you put it in a tube and send electricity through it, it glows a bright color.

Injen technologies make high performance aftermarket exhausts and intakes which can greatly increase the performance of your car. A cold air intake is a system used to bring down the temperature of the air going into the car to increase the power of the engine. It makes the combustion a bit bigger. They can come in many different colors and even make the engine run longer because it keeps it cooler. Cold air intakes can even give more miles to the gallon. so its a good first performance part to modify a car with for the beginner.

Top Recommendations for E46 Performance Parts

January 28th, 2011

Because of it’s record-setting popularity, the E46 received a lot of attention from aftermarket tuners. The parts are also immensely popular as E46 owners wish to upgrade their cars to the same power as the newer model. After all, when the 335i rolls off the factory floor with a whopping 300 horsepower, all of a sudden the 230 horsepower of your fully-loaded 330Ci doesn’t seem so great.

The first thing is to determine how wild you want to go. If you money isn’t an object and there’s no such thing as “too much power,” then you’ll probably want to go with some of these modifications:

VF Engineering Supercharger Active AutoWerke Supercharger Highline Tuning Catback Exhaust System Active Autowerke Performance Headers

Maybe, though, you looked at that list and were intimidated either by the prices or the level of involvement. In that event, you will probably be more comfortable with some of the mid-range modifications, including:

A cold air intake (CAI) either from aFe, BMW Performance, or GruppeM An axelback exhaust such as those available from REMUS, BMW Performance, SuperSprint, or Active AutoWerke Performance Underdrive Pulleys

If these are STILL a little bit more involved than you want to get, then you’ll want to stick to some very conservative modifications. Those include:

Upgraded spark plugs or fuel injectors An aFe High Flow Air Intake Filter Replacement Active AutoWerke Software Flash (ECU Tune)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What modification will get me the most power? A: Definitely a supercharger system.

Q: What modification will best enhance the driving experience without breaking the bank? A: An axelback exhaust system such as the one from REMUS or BMW Performance is affordable and you’ll enjoy the grumble every time you drive.

Q: What is the cheapest mod I can do that I’ll actually notice when I drive? A: If you have a manual, a $40 braided steel clutch line will improve the feel of the car, otherwise, an Intake is the cheapest modification that you will actually feel more power from (or software)

Q: Which mods will void my warranty? A: None of them. The Magnusson-Moss warranty act protects you, and states that if something goes wrong with the car, the dealership must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the aftermarket part caused the failure. Obviously, if your supercharger isn’t running properly and damages the engine, they will deny warranty service, however, the implication that you won’t be able to have your car serviced for free by BMW because of an intake or exhaust system is a myth.

Corvette Performance Parts

January 26th, 2011

To the normal eye the Corvette does not fit in the category of needing more power or extra performance, to the car enthusiast there never is enough power and you could never get too much performance. Whether you are in the first category or the second you found your way here so you must be looking for some sort of upgrade. And since all us of have different capabilities as far as being mechanics we are going to focus on the not so difficult to install performance parts for the corvette. Just because a part is going to increase power does not mean that it is going to take a professional to install it. Or maybe you would like to think that you are a professional. After any of these upgrades you may feel like you are one. Bolt on upgrades.

Starting in the front and working our way back. The first bolt on upgrade starts under the hood. It is a cold air intake system. I have installed these and if I can do it anyone can. It will take about 30 minutes depending on your understanding of the instructions but most instructions come full with step by step pictures. The great thing about cold air intake systems is that they are really easy to install and for the ease, you get a lot out of it. Expecting an extra 25 horses is not out of the question with around 30 ft/lbs of torque as well. The way these systems create more power for the Corvette is by increasing the air flow to the engine. Engines need to breathe just like any of us and when the engine doesn’t get the maximum amount of air it isn’t running to the fullest of its ability. They can also increase your gas mileage by a couple miles per gallon while driving conservatively.

Moving under the dash there is about a five to ten minute install of a performance chip or tuner. With these you won’t even need to lift a single tool. They just plug in under the dash in the OBD-II diagnostic port. Once it is plugged into the OBD-II diagnostic port, the full on screen instructions will run you through the download of the new performance programming. Simply unplug it after the installation is complete, and get out for a drive. Generally gains of 25+ hp at the rear wheels and 25+ extra ft/lbs of torque can be expected, if you have the Z06 that comes standard with more power, you can expect to gain even more. Like the air intakes these will improve gas mileage too as long as there isn’t a race going on.

Now let’s move onto the really fun stuff. Underneath the Corvette doesn’t get seen all that often but if you follow all those pipes to the back the beauty of exhaust tips should be seen. Installing an exhaust system will be a little more time consuming and more difficult but well worth the work. Exhaust systems work in line with the other two but don’t have to go together. They will improve hp, torque and miles per gallon. The best thing about any of these systems is the sound that comes with them and the new look. Whether you are the car enthusiast or the guy who just wanted to buy a Corvette you will all enjoy the beautiful sound that a performance exhaust will produce. They will transform any Corvette from just an everyday car to an every minute car. It will let everyone know you are coming.
