BMW E36 Parts

January 8th, 2011

The BMW E36 was first introduced in Europe in 1991 and in the US in 1992. This redesign of the BMW 3 Series was the first true modern 3 series that reinvented the model into a performance sedan with some of the most modern technology and engineering available. Whether it is the 318Ti or the E36 M3, the E36 chassis is known as a stiff and high performing design that is a great platform to improve.

BMW E36 Performance Parts

The BMW inline 6 engine is a great performer from the factory but can be significantly improved with simple bolt ons. The aFe Intake System for the E36 is a great option to maximize flow by replacing the factory restrictive intake system. These are available with a Pro Dry S or Pro5R oiled filter that will last the life of the car. The Active Autowerke E36 Exhaust and Active Autowerke E36 Headers are a perfect complement to the aFe Intake to improve sound and flow. These are direct bolt exhaust systems with stainless steel construction and some of the best engineering available in the aftermarket BMW parts community.

If you are looking for the ultimate power increase, the Active Autowerke Turbo Kit is the only option to consider. It is a complete bolt on package that turns your lowly inline 6 into a high revving monster. Designed to maximize power and ensure daily drivability, these systems are the ultimate choice.

BMW E36 Exterior Parts

There are easy ways to set your E36 apart from the rest. BMW matte black grills are the obvious choice to give your front end an aggressive look. They are ABS plastic replacements that are a direct install and an OE 2 piece design. To match, you can replace the factory chrome badges with shadow bmw badges and carbon fiber bmw roundels for a race inspired and aggressive look.

Wheels are also a solid option to vastly improve the look of the car. VMR VB3 CSLs and VMR V710 wheels are an easy choice that will improve the look but maintain the clean sporty design you love.

BMW E36 Lighting

The factory BMW lighting is nothing in comparison to modern xenon technology. Projector36 headlights will replace OE halogens with projector based xenons with preinstalled led angel eyes. In addition, clear corners and clear tail lights are a perfect complement for a true Euro look. It is recommended to match the fog lights with Xenesis Tru Match Bulbs which change the color to a xenon white.

BMW E36 Suspension

The factory suspension is floaty and outdated. The H&R Cup Kit is the perfect spring and shock replacement for the car that will lower the ride and firm up handling while maintaining daily comfort and use. If you need adjustable suspension, KW V2 Coilovers or Bilstein PSS9s are the choice to provide height and rebound adjustability for street or track settings. These are complete adjustable replacements that are the ultimate choice to make your E36 into a road machine.

BMW 7 Series Parts

December 27th, 2010

The BMW 7 Series is the ultimate luxury sedan that blends the newest technology and performance with touring comfort. While BMW engineers are very adept at producing a fine automobile, there are a variety of parts available to upgrade your BMW 7 Series.

BMW 7 Series Performance Parts

The BMW 7 Series is inherently designed to be a comfort tourer but you can still improve performance, sound and response with an exhaust, intake and ECU tune. The 750i V8 engine is very well designed from the factory but can benefit from an Eisenmann Exhaust or Remus Exhaust that will deepen the tone without compromising daily use and comfort. In addition, you will want to complement the freer flowing exhaust with an aFe Intake System or aFe Replacement filter to maximize air flow and minimize bottlenecks. The Active Autowerke ECU software is the best option for a custom tune that takes into account these modifications and maintains the stock longevity.

BMW 7 Series Wheels

The BMW 745i has a conservative wheel design that makes the car look boring and mundane. Custom Forged Wheels such as HRE, DPE and ADV1 will give the car a unique look while minimizing weight gain with a larger wheel. These custom wheels fill out the fender and provide a unique look without ruining the factory design.

BMW 7 Series Exterior Parts

The new F01 7 Series is an exceptional design but can be further improved with the Vorsteiner VR7 series of aerodynamics. The front add on spoiler and rear lip will give the new 750i a more aggressive look while integrating into the original factory lines to ensure the design flows well with the overall look of the 7 series.

The angel eyes can be upgraded with WeissLicht LED Angel Eyes to provide a xenon white output and the low beam xenons can be improved with D1S Xenon Bulbs in 6000k for a xenon white color match. Finally, the front grill set can be replaced with gloss black bmw grills that will give the car a piano black look on the front end.

BMW 7 Series Suspension

It is not recommended to make the car very stiff as it is a luxury automobile but you can make it more responsive and stable at high speeds with the H&R Sport Springs. These are a direct spring replacement that will firm up handling without being too aggressive for daily use. They are fully compatible with the OE BMW shocks and will maximize response without ruining the factory comfort ride.
